Bernard Aaron, M.D. F.A.C.P., F.A.C.G

Dr. Bernard Aaron has been a practicing gastroenterologist in New Jersey since 1977. He is a graduate of the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He did most of his internal medicine training at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York City and completed a gastroenterology fellowship at the New York Veterans Administration Hospital, also located in New York City. Dr. Aaron completed two years of active service as a physician in the United States Navy and then was Acting Chief of Gastroenterology at Stonybrook Medical School before finally settling in New Jersey along the Jersey Shore.

Dr. Aaron has always had a special love for teaching. He has been a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School since 2002. He has been involved in the training of gastroenterologists and continues to mentor 2nd year medical students in their physical diagnosis course.

Dr. Aaron is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and of the American College of Gastroenterology. He is a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and of the New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Dr. Aaron has been married to his wife Susan since 1974 and together they have brought up 4 children. His leisure interests include music, theatre, dance, and biking. Dr. Aaron continues to be proud of his association with Atlantic Coast Gastroenterology Associates.
